Creating a crime free neighbourhood and promoting good neighbour relations.

What is the
Neighbourhood Watch?

The Neighbourhood Watch’s purpose is to, in consultation and cooperation with the South African Police Service (SAPS), organise and motivate the residents of the area to combat and prevent crime within the borders of the area. In this manner the Neighbourhood Watch acts as SAPS’s eyes and ears. We report suspicious incidents of persons to security companies and SAPS, as well as assist other neighbourhood watch members or SAPS. We may also not search persons. All our members are volunteers. For more information on how the Neighbourhood Watch works, watch our video here.

How can I get
involved?

We always need volunteers. We do not always need people to do midnight patrols, as we also need people to patrol during the day. We also need people who are willing to help with administrative tasks and to do fundraising. Feel free to contact us to find out how you can be of assistance.

Which areas
are covered?

Ruwari, Silver Oaks, Protea Village, Normandie Estate.

Our street borders are Reservoir Street in the North, Kruis Road to Kruin Street from the West to the East and the Crammix Road in the South.
